Apple and Google Line Up Against Anti-Marriage Amendment

Apple is giving $100,000 to fight Proposition 8, and Google is on record publicly opposing it as well (along with big donations from its founders).

Hey all you "conservatives" pushing Prop 8 - either your church is a church, or it's a political organization. You can't have it both ways. When Libertarians and businesses are lining up against Prop 8 to defend Americans' rights from encroaching government, what is it that you're defending?

NO ON PROP 8!

  2. Exactly, and thanks to George Carlin too. Here I reveal my ignorance of tax law: are churches taxed any differently than other non-profits? If so, why?

  3. Google "Church Taxes" and you'll get a pretty good read on both sides of the arguement. The amount of property that churches hold in the US is astounding.
