Another moron carted off to the clink. Whether or not you agree with his apparent assertion that it's more important to keep an animal alive than to try to cure AIDS or cancer, terrorist acts are never justified - and that's what these kinds of actions are. Same goes for the vandals in Santa Cruz this week).
As repugnant as their behavior is, the trial shows that the justice system works, even without the Patriot Act repealing the basic protections that Americans have fought for. And now that it's Obama's people reviewing the tapes, does the Patriot Act still seem like a good idea to you?
What should I ask Joe Boyd?

So making threatening phone calls equates with hijacking airplanes and killing thousands of people?
Don't dilute the word "terrorism" by using it to describe this guy.
No, it's not as bad, but it's still a terroristic threat. This isn't a Patriot Act bandwagon tactic. This was a law and a terminology in use long before 9/11. That's why it's okay for you and I to have and express differing opinions, but not okay (or legal) for me to post a reply in which I threaten to kill you for disagreeing with me, as "this guy" did to the researchers. No, this guy is not Mohammed Atta, but he still made terroristic threats and he's being punished accordingly.
