Apple and Google Line Up Against Anti-Marriage Amendment

Apple is giving $100,000 to fight Proposition 8, and Google is on record publicly opposing it as well (along with big donations from its founders).

Hey all you "conservatives" pushing Prop 8 - either your church is a church, or it's a political organization. You can't have it both ways. When Libertarians and businesses are lining up against Prop 8 to defend Americans' rights from encroaching government, what is it that you're defending?

NO ON PROP 8!

Tax 'em. Tax 'em. Tax 'em. Make it easier for them to get through that needle eye.

Exactly, and thanks to George Carlin too. Here I reveal my ignorance of tax law: are churches taxed any differently than other non-profits? If so, why?

Google "Church Taxes" and you'll get a pretty good read on both sides of the arguement. The amount of property that churches hold in the US is astounding.
