Here it is.
If you saw the Borat movie - you remember when people were speaking in tongues? That's Sarah Palin's sect. If you're a Christian and you're not quite sure what a Pentecostal is, here they are - from the standpoint of normal, sane Christians. Do you want one of these people to be Vice President?
The GOP right now is doing its best to avoid alienating non-speaking-in-tongues voters by equivocating every time they're asking if Sarah Palin is a Pentecostal. There are two answers to this question: yes or no. Either Sarah Palin doesn't have the courage to tell America about her faith, or she's not Pentecostal even though she's gone to the church and sat there and mouthed the words, or she really is an extremist zealot who believes in the End Times and she's about to get her finger on the Button and that 9/11 was God punishing Jews. Which one is it?

Yeah, but she's claiming some other brand of christianity as her faith. OK, I think you've got to give someone the benefit of the doubt when they tell you which faith they follow. People do change their minds and move from one mindset to another in their lifetimes. Folks convert, get reborn, 'fall from grace,' lose their faith, find Jesus, or even wake up and realize that there is no supernatural world.
I know you, Mr. Paine, and I know that two decades ago, you were into some wackadoodle beliefs.
I don't see Pentecostal as any more or less wacky than any other "special ways of knowing." I'd say she's quite a risky proposition without any of this new baggage. Who knew that there was no piss test to get the job of vetting a VP?
Article VI, section 3:
"The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."
Emphasis my own (though I doubt Jefferson would take offense).
Word up Squid. There's no need to go after Palin for being a Pentecostal. Jefferson, would probably be cool with criticisms of her words and actions.
I wonder what would happen if Pres. Palin started going off in tongues during a State of the Union Address.
